Patient Arrives at the Clinic
The patient signs in at the clinic by swiping his health card in the barcode reader. Upon his arrival, the system verifies if this patient's file has attached messages (payment needed, special appointment, special notes, etc.).
The system then adds this patient to the waiting list, maintaining the sequence of arrival. If the patient forgets his card, the front desk assistant just have to right-click on the patient's name in the schedule of the day and mark his appointment has "patient arrived". Since the front desk assistant does not have to verify each patient arrival, he/she will have more time to do other more productive tasks.
Patient is Called for the Treatment
With the electronic waiting list, the system knows which doctor the patient is appointed to see and will automatically call the patient's name when this doctor becomes available. The front desk assistant has the ability to manually change/prioritized/hold any entry in the electronic waiting list. If the patient has a multiple-appointment (different treatment phases in the same appointment), the system will keep this patient in the electronic waiting for his second treatment after the first is finished.
Treatment with the Digital Health File
When the patient arrives in the treatment area, the system has already loaded his digital health file related to the type of the actual treatment without the need of any action from the doctor or from the patient. With a simple glance at the digital health file, the doctor will be able to see images (x-rays, etc.), where the patient is according to his care plan, any missed visits, past treatments details, and much more. New information is easily entered in the digital health file with the touch screen and the configurable treatment buttons that allows infinite options of text entries, specific for each different part of the treatment (SOAP notes, diagnosis, exam, etc.).
With this digital patient file, you will no longer need to have paper files and big storage areas. No more time spent searching for files, no more lost files, and no more missing information inf the file with the ability to attach any scanned document to the patient's digital health file.
Transaction and Check-Out
When the doctor closes the digital patient health file, a transaction is automatically added to the patient's general (administrative) file so that you never forget to charge for a treatment. If the patient has already paid for the treatment (post dated checks, pre-authorized debit, Internet payment, care plan, etc.), he/she can leave the clinic without having to stop at the front desk.
